The Opportunity

We currently have a full time opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join the Level 3 Operating Rooms with experience in nursing pre and post operative patients up to discharge. The right candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering the perioperative nursing care to patients and will assist the patient to discharge from the hospital.

To be successful, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Authority to practice as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Compliance with the ANMAC National Competency Standards.
  • Compliance with the NMBA Professional Standards.
  • Post graduate certificate or diploma in nursing is highly desired.
  • At least 1 year’s post graduate experience in an acute care setting.
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care and customer focused care.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.
  • Ability to work within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
  • High level of computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.

Essential requirements:

  • In accordance to guidelines set by NSW Health, all SVPHS employees are required to have up to date vaccinations before commencement. It is encouraged that you ensure your vaccinations are current ahead of time as you may be requested to provide documentation at interview stage.
  • Criminal record checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role.
