About The Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is currently recruiting for a Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2) to complement and enhance the current Geriatrics and Rehab ward.

Ward 1B is a 20 bed subacute geriatric and rehabilitation unit. All the patients admitted to the ward are ready for rehabilitation, nursing home/hostel placement, or need a few extra days in a hospital to return back to their pre-morbid function prior to discharge but do not need acute care. There are no admissions through the Emergency Department to ward 1B; all the patients are referred from the general wards, and other institutions throughout the SWSLHD network.

What you'll be doing

The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is in-charge of all aspects of the unit environment and takes overall responsibility for the standard of patient care in the unit. The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
