John Woodward Residential Aged Care is 123 bed facility located in Merrylands NSW. We are currently looking for 3x Lifestyle officer on a Permanent part time rotational roster for 40-44 hours a fortnight. This purpose if this role is to maintain and implement a comprehensive program of activities designed to enhance the quality of life of residents.
Shift Patterns:
- Monday to Friday: 9.30am-3pm
- Wednesday to Friday : 9am -4pm, Saturday 10am-2pm
- Friday, Saturdays and Monday : 9am to 3pm, Sunday 10am-2pm
To join our dynamic and caring team, you must have:
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or studying towards (desirable)
Experience in programming a variety of activities of interest to residents with varying needs and support requirements (desirable)
Proven experience in facilitating group activities, special events and outings
Knowledge and skills to be able to assess and evaluate resident's leisure and lifestyle preferences, progress and ongoing support needs
Effective verbal and written communication skills
The role:
Assess and document resident’s leisure based needs, wants and preferences
Develop, maintain and implement a comprehensive program of activities designed to enhance the psychological, social, emotional, physical wellbeing and overall quality of life for our residents.
Monitor and evaluate planned programs and resident engagement
Maintain relevant documentation
