About the role & Aveo Newstead Aged Care: Full-Time position availableWeekend penalty rates may applyReporting to Aged Care Manager Guide and support leisure and lifestyle staff in order to ensure that organisational objectives are metPlan, coordinate and facilitate lifestyle and leisure enriching programs to meet the needs and choices of care recipientsAveo Newstead Aged Care is a state-of-the-art resident retirement facility offering community care, dementia and respite care. The facility is located in GasWorks and is only a short walk from Bowen Hills train stationAveo Freedom Aged Care's purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey To be successful in this role you will have: A genuine interest in the Aged Care sectorCertificate 4 in Leisure and HealthPrevious experience in a similar role preferredCurrent First Aid & CPR certificateCurrent Police Check certificateGeneral knowledge of Aged Care or working with older peopleWillingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening as part of the recruitment process About you: A passion to deliver outstanding customer serviceExperience working alongside people living with dementia desiredThe ability to communicate effectivelyThe ability and willingness to maintain harmonious interpersonal and working relationshipsHigh level written and verbal communication skillsSound literacy and numeracy skillsCompetence with computers, Microsoft Office Suite and on-line network applicationsBe able to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, patience and listening skills About Aveo:Aveo's vision is to be Australia's leading and most innovative seniors living provider.
