Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is not-for-profit aged care and community service provider that provide services including Residential Care, Community Care, NDIS, School Nutrition and Early Learning Childhood programs in the Northern Territory. About the role

ARRCS Troopy Program is a Responsive Respite Program that delivers flexible respite activities for indigenous people and their families in Central Australian remote communities. We now have a permanent full time opportunity for a Care Coordinator to join our team in Alice Springs.


In this role you will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the Troopy Program by providing a responsive service to that will meet the individual needs of eligible indigenous people, their families and their carers. This will include liaising with stakeholders and coordinating bookings, ensuring the appropriate and safe resourcing of the program and that the program is operating sustainably and within the program guidelines.


About you

Due to the nature of this position you must have;

  • A clear understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues in Australian society, in particular, those issues relating to health and aged care
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Previous experience and knowledge of community services funded programs
  • Strong administration skills and technical skills including using MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to autonomously manage and prioritise competing deadlines
  • Ochre Card (NT Working with Children), Driver’s License, Current influenza vaccination, Current National Police Check, First Aid certificate or willing to obtain prior to commencing
