Indicative Total Remuneration: $27.41 - $27.71 per hour + 25% casual loading - WHA4 - Casual - up to the 15 August 2021

The Mothercarer will provide practical and emotional support postnatally, to mothers and their families within their own homes, this support will be tailored to the individual woman and her family with the aim of enabling new parents to confidently and safely care for their baby in a hygienic environment, rest and recuperate and adapt to the change in family dynamics which a new baby brings.

The incumbent provides care which includes assisting with the care of their baby, household duties, transport, care of older children, emotional and educational support, and referral of the mother or family members to community agencies for ongoing support.

The position requires Certificate 3 or equivalent in an area relating to the health of families, e.g. children/community/disability/youth services/aged care/nursing and a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
