About the Role



  • Fixed Term Part Time position

  • Days and Hours: Thursday only. 16.00 hr./fortnight


This position is a Grade 3 role. The Health Services Union Health Professionals Award defines a Health Professional Level 3 as: A Speech Pathologist with at least 7 years’ experience, possessing specific knowledge in a branch of the profession and working in an area that requires high levels of specialist knowledge as recognised by the Employer. As a Senior Clinician you may also be required to undertake administrative work and/or manage/supervise staff. Parameters of this position include consultative role, lecturing in their clinical speciality, teaching under graduates and/or post-graduate students and providing education to staff from other disciplines.


The Speech Pathologist, Grade 3 will provide highly specialised clinical leadership in the area within their designated caseload and other areas as directed by the management team and have commitment to participating in clinical/translational research under supervision. This position will be an integral member of the Swallowing Disorder and Laryngology Clinic Team and be responsible for duties and projects as directed by the Head of Department.


You are highly motivated and thrive on the challenge of supporting and developing clinical programs.


Naturally you have strong written and verbal communication skills, you are a team player, and possess well developed negotiation and influencing abilities that will be used in working with internal and external stakeholders involved with identified individuals.
