Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is a not-for-profit aged care and community service provider that was established in July 2014 to operate residential care facilities and community care programs in the Northern Territory. ARRCS provides regional care and support to people and their communities throughout the Northern Territory from Darwin to Docker River. It’s our goal to offer opportunity and choice so individuals can live life in all its fullness.

About the role

ARRCS Community Care programs provide support under government funded programs for aged and disability clients.

In this role you will be responsible for providing in-home cleaning services to our clients so you must have an NT drivers’ license and reliable transport as you will work independently and alongside the clients to promote independence with domestic tasks. You are a self-starting and driven individual who is capable of working on your own and assisting others to achieve their independence goals with domestic tasks. You display a professional, positive, proactive attitude and have a high level of interpersonal skills which allows you to liaise and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including aged care and people living with a disability clients. You will also have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. The safety and comfort of our residents must always be at the forefront of your mind. You are respectful and have a welcoming, caring and compassionate nature.

Skills and experience

Demonstrated experience in a cleaning position
Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role
Reliable and insured transport
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care is highly desirable
Must have a current Flu Vaccination, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate, OCHRE card and NT Drivers’ License or a willingness to obtain prior to commencing
