Your new team

An opportunity exists for a grade 2 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to join the existing hand therapy team on a casual basis at Royal Melbourne Hospital. This role is casual and will have a primary focus on the provision of clinical care. The role is supported by grade 4 and grade 3 clinical staff, OT research leader, OT workforce manager and the OT manager.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to
  • Ensure excellent, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and splint fabrication
  • Build relationships with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services and information
  • Demonstrate effective communication strategies within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Participate in the staff clinical supervision program
  • Participate and drive research within the hand therapy program
Your Contribution:
  • Recognised degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy
  • Professional registration with the relevant board of Australia
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication
  • Emergency and safe working practices in the hospital
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
