Seniors Community Care is a family owned and managed organisation that has been operating since 1995 with the family values of integrity and accountability. Seniors Community Care is dedicated to the provision of services of the highest quality to disabled, frail & aged persons living in their own homes and individuals managing at home after an illness, injury or hospital stay.
Our clients who reside across Eastern and South Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula are looking for qualified, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, punctual, hardworking and compassionate individuals to support them in maintaining their independence.
Due to increased demand, we are currently recruiting for multiple Direct Care Workers to provide quality care services in accordance with individual care plans, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Seniors Community Care Policies/Procedures.
Duties may include:
Home Care (Domestic assistance) – cleaning, meal preparation, laundry assistance
Personal Care – showering, dressing, grooming, medication prompting, welfare checks.
Community Access – transportation in your own vehicle to/from appointments, shopping, activities outside the home
In-home Respite Care – companionship, supervision, in-home social activities
What must you have to join the Seniors Community Care Team?
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care or equivalent qualification.
- Fully insured, reliable car and current Australian driver licence.
- Availability to work regular times each week.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current National Police Record Check.
- Mobile telephone
What can this position offer you?
- Individual working hours with no minimum. (Applicants looking for up to 5-10 hours per week encouraged to apply.)
- Working close to home.
- Morning, afternoon and/or evening shifts
- Ability to work independently providing one to one care services.
- Support from experienced coordination team, including ability to provide relevant and timely information.

Duties:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
- Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Observing and reporting on changes in the health or status of the client
- Preparing food and feeding clients
- Responding to emergency situations
- Transporting client to appointments
- Assisting clients with rehabilitative exercises
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
