About Allambee Nursing Home

Allambee Nursing Home is a 35 bed residential facility. We are a fun loving and supportive team who strive to provide the best possible care for care recipients with various abilities.

As a valuable member of a wider team, we are committed to working with you to become your professional best. We offer education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your skills.

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager and the assistance of other Wellbeing assistants, you will be working with the clinical staff, residents and their representatives to assist in the development, implementation and delivery of a person centred, meaningful activities for all age groups and various interests.

The position is part time, working Monday to Friday.

About You:

  • Sound understanding of person centred care, for all ages.

  • You have Excellent time management skills and problem-solving ability

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including de-escalation of responsive behaviours.

  • You are able to work with the team and can be self-directed, love creativity and relentless in pursuit of excellence

  • You are an outside box thinker and eager to implement new ides

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle

  •  Ensure that Work Health and Safety principles and Infection Control guidelines are adhered to

  • Able to use computers and other electronic devices and assist care recipients to use them as need it.

  • Previous experience in working with younger people living in Residential Care setting will be highly regarded.
