A rare and exciting opportunity now exists to join Juniper's leadership team in the capacity of Area Manager.

In this role, you will bring together your flair for operational leadership, business acumen and well-established understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards to effectively manage risk, maintain customer satisfaction and lead the broader management team within your region.

To be successful in this position you will need to be an experienced leader and have previously overseen multiple residential sites. You will need a demonstrable ability to build and maintain lasting, productive relationships. You will have a wealth of experience within aged care that you can draw upon to provide useful advice and make sound decisions.

You will be passionate about continuous improvement and embracing the challenge of delivering a person centred, enabling model of care, whilst ensuring resources are utilised effectively and efficiently. Ideally you will be a health professional with proven multisite leadership experience in a changing and dynamic environment.

This role is based in Balcatta with travel across the Perth Metropolitan area and some travel to regional facilities. If you believe you have the skills, experience and knowledge to oversee the operations of a group of care facilities, we are keen to receive your application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership to the Residential Managers in an area to support the delivery of services to residents, families, and staff.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the financial management of each facility via the two key areas of income and expenditure.
  • Provide leadership, and practical assistance and support to successfully manage ACFI and rostering.
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Standards with a focus on building relationships
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and improvement of service delivery in each of the designated facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.
  • The ability to travel across metropolitan and regional locations as required.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Significant experience in managing a large business unit or area, within the Aged Care sector.
  • A Nursing and or Business qualification.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Previous experience in planning and implementing change.
  • High standards of written and verbal communications skills and an ability to convey ideas in both forms.
  • Experience in contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of business and financial plans.
  • Understanding of the funding and legislative requirements relating to the aged care sector.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate information management systems to enable effective reporting and informed decision making.
