Currently Home Care Assistance is recruiting for Support Care Workers to provide in-home care, across various locations.

Home Care Assistance provide in-home care for people through the NDIS (disability support), My Aged Care (Home Care packages), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and After-Hospital Support programs.

We provide great ongoing support from our experienced Care Managers; you will receive training on shift with Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to continue to provide excellent care to all our clients.

The position

• Community and home based care
• Regular shifts with immediate start
• Flexible hours - you can choose days & time of work
• Locations shifts available : Wantirna, Bayswater, Boronia, Glen Waverley, Waverley, Narre Warren, Montmorency

Key Duties

· Assisting clients with personal care and home exercise programs

· Assisting clients with housekeeping

· Community access: shopping, appointments, gym program

· Preparing food and feeding clients

Essential Criteria for the position

· Certificate in Aged Care and/or Disability/Individual support

· Current and valid Driver licence

· Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

· Smart mobile phone and internet access

· Relevant industry experience/120 hours of placement (palliative care/dementia care/help with transferring clients/use of hoist)

· Current National Police Check (within 12-month validity/or be prepared to obtain)

· Valid work rights in Australia
