About the Role
The Volunteer Services Manager is responsible for leading and guiding Amana Living to ensure excellence in volunteer services is achieved across all areas of the organisation. This role is primary in promoting the programme, recruiting and supporting volunteers and matching volunteers to residents and clients.

Responsibilities in this role will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Contribute to positioning Amana Living as the preferred Aged Care provider and set a benchmark for best practice in volunteering in the Aged Care sector.
  • Engage in regular consultation, research and investigation of best practice to ensure volunteer programmes and services delivered are successful
  • Promoting the Volunteer Services programme in the local communities and the Anglican Diocese of Perth
  • Supporting, managing and acting as the key point of contact for existing and potential volunteers
  • Contribute to advertising and recruiting volunteers
  • Facilitate training and opportunities for professional development for volunteers
  • Work closely with managers to determine the needs of residents and clients and to match with volunteers’ interests and availability.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and systems to match the needs of the operational areas with appropriate volunteers to ensure legal and OSH requirements are met.

About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar position developing and maintaining a Volunteer Services programme, working collaboratively the business while leading a small team.

 The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: 

  • Experience in a similar role and/or qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience working with/managing volunteers
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of and commitment to the implementation of equality, diversity and workplace health and safety principles
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Current drivers license
