About the Role
We are currently seeking a strong dynamic leader, with the drive and passion to provide quality person-centred care and services to the community. As the Aged & Disability Manager you will lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team, experience in developing budgets, implementing processes and a thorough understanding of compliance. You will have a community focus, friendly demeanour and positive attitude and you enjoy working in a busy environment.
As the Aged & Disability Services Manager - you will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating the delivery of Council's Home & Community Care for Younger People (HACC PYP) and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), ensuring that services promote independence and quality of life, to ensure that people remain connected and engaged.
- Identify, facilitate and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders and the community to further enhance access and inclusion outcomes.
- Support the implementation of relevant strategic plans including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and other key strategies as identified.
- Provide leadership for the Aged and Disability Unit team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, programs and resources. Ensure that service standards and targets are met, and that appropriate processes are in place to enable continuous improvement of services.
You will have:
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field with extensive and diverse experience working in the Aged & Disability sector or in an equivalent leadership role
- Experience in the leadership and management of aged and disability services or managing a large multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles to foster a contemporary environment and deliver high quality service outcomes
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to maintain critical stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of the physical, social and cultural needs of frail elderly people and vulnerable community members.
- Energy and drive to provide a leading service for the community.
- Strategic planning and policy development skills.
- Understanding of related government policy, trends and aged care innovations
