About The Role

Role Location- 242 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW

Role Type- Permanent Full-Time

The purpose of the Senior Relationship Manager/Associate Director is to execute on the growth agenda for the Health segment by building strong relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholders and promoting the ANZ Health brand in the market.

This role is within the market leading specialist Health team in Corporate & Institutional Banking. The Health business includes clients in sub-segments covering aged care, retirement living, land lease communities, hospitals, health REITS, diagnostic imaging, allied health, childcare, community care, and social & affordable housing. Background knowledge in these sectors is not essential however the successful candidate should have a desire to build a deep understanding of these high growth markets.

Reporting to the State Director based in Sydney, the Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for maintaining existing customers, driving new customer origination, and maintaining sound risk management to ensure a quality portfolio is maintained.

Accountabilities-
  • Through origination and business development, achieve financial performance in line with stretch targets for designated client portfolios and prospects around growth in Revenue and Rev/RWA uplift.
  • Build relationships with Executive Level (CEO/CFO/Treasurer) management of clients in the existing portfolio and with new-to-bank targets.
  • Set client engagement strategy and revenue growth strategy for clients in portfolio.
  • Identify and convert new-to-bank targets into valuable customers.
  • Understand the strategic initiatives of clients and cater product sales to meet client’s needs.
  • Collaborate with the product specialists to ensure strategy execution is in line with the Industry and Business Writing Strategy/Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Consistently meet or exceed customer expectations through superior customer services and developing industry insights.


Technical - Essential-
  • A track record of sound performance in a previous sales origination, lending or lending support role is mandatory.
  • Strong client handling, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Sound credit skills with the ability to present a considered risk assessment and business proposition.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.


Desired Skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex financing solutions.
  • Extensive network of connections both within the Bank and external to the bank.


Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics would be highly desirable but not essential.
