We have a unique opportunity for a Stakeholder and Collaboration Manager to join our Social Sustainability team, to support our Retirement Living business to deliver the University of Wollongong (UOW) Health and Wellbeing Precinct (HWP).

The UOW and HWP is a partnership between Lendlease Retirement Living and the University of Wollongong and is the first University-based Retirement Community (UBRC) in Australia, benefiting future residents, the University and its students by creating a symbiosis in an intergenerational context. As part of the partnership, Lendlease has an obligation to deliver the minimum projects and associated infrastructure which include a Retirement Village, Independent Living Apartments, and Aged-Care facility, an 80-place childcare facility and ancillary retail.

As the Stakeholder and Collaboration Manager, you will be responsible for delivering social sustainability outcomes for the project which includes stakeholder and community engagement, collaboration activities, community development, economic development and workforce participation.

Further, your responsibilities will extend to include –

  • Developing a full suite of associated strategy, plans, communication and notification documents to engage and consult the community regarding project.
  • Developing and implementing a shared Stakeholder and Communications Engagement Plan, developed in conjunction with UOW and other relevant parties.
  • Managing the University stakeholder and working group engagement for design (including preparation of presentations, facilitation, coordination etc) as per project agreements.
  • Developing productive relationships with UOW and external stakeholders to understand the needs, wants & aspirations of the surrounding community and key stakeholders, including local government.
  • Developing a collaboration framework for delivery and operation to drive collaboration activities driving positive economic and social outcomes in the local community and H&WB Precinct.
  • Developing and implementing the Indigenous Participation Plan for the project including all reporting requirements.
  • Meeting the Lendlease Elevate RAP objectives.
  • Developing a Local industry participation plan including communications, enquiry management and reporting.
  • Developing key social sustainability initiatives in partnership with Village Management and UOW, integrating the Lendlease social targets, metrics and utilisation of ASVB.
  • Support and coordinating with the project team to achieve WELL / Greenstar Certification and Operational implementation.

To see success, you will have –

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Education or a relevant field
  • Previous community and stakeholder engagement experience working on property or construction projects is highly desirable
  • Media experience and training will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of the Illawarra region and community, and experience working in this region
  • Sound negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in workshop and meeting facilitation, and confidence in public speaking
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ample experience in developing community plans and executing these plans to achieve outcomes
  • Previous experience in workforce development planning and Indigenous participation planning would be advantageous.
