Child and Family Program


The Child and Family Program including Healthly Mothers Healthly Babies (HMHB) is comprised of numerous disciplines that focus on assessment and Child and Family focused care. The program consists of Counsellors, Occupational Therapists , Speech Pathologists, Dieticians, Podiatrists,Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Community Development Workers and Family Support Workers. The team is committed to working with communities, families and individuals who have poor health outcomes and to providing high quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace child and family centered practice, evidence based practice and the Social Model of Health.


About the Role


The role of the Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist within the Child and Family Program, provide discipline supervision/governance for the Occupational Therapists working in Paediatric across Monash health community.


The incumbent will support Child and Family Program to achieve occupational therapy targets, improve service efficiency, service coordination and the patient's experience.


The incumbent will have an up-to-date knowledge of working with children in multiple settings and environments and working with children and their families from CALD, refugee and vulnerable and at risk backgrounds.


The incumbent will have an up-to-date knowledge of the health sector and community health as well as an understanding of community health philosophy, programs and services. The successful applicant must have a high level of clinical expertise within paediatric occupational therapy as they will be working with children from neonates to those with complex needs including home modifications. They need to be familiar with multidisciplinary team functioning. The incumbent would support the Program Manager in day to running of program at Cranbourne the Role


What you need:



  • current registrations with APRHA as and Occupational Therapist

  • Working with children’s check

  • Bachelor or Masters Occupational Therapy
