Community Care Educator

An exciting full time opportunity exists within Aveo Group for a pro-active and energetic Community Care Educator to join our team based in Melbourne, supporting communities in our Southern Region.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Learning and Engagement Manager, this role will provide effective education and coaching that ensures residents receive quality care that is consistent with best practice and reflects Aveo's values of Kindness, Care and Respect. You'll be comfortable working in an autonomous role with regular travel between communities while being supported by a broader HR team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly with the teams at the Aveo Aged Care communities
  • Contribute to the creation of regular training plans and deliver learning activities in line with these plans
  • Identify training needs/gaps, especially in relation to Aged Care Standards and other relevant legislation for the sector
  • Contribute to the delivery of staff induction and on-boarding processes shaping a positive start to their Career at Aveo
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across multiple divisions on education policy, processes and opportunities for development
Your experience will include:
  • Health professional qualification (e.g registered practitioner with AHPRA)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • A passion for helping people develop their capability and fulfil their potential
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar function in the Care industry
  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office competency essential (including PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to present training materials in a group environment
  • Ability to make accurate and rational decisions based on logical assumptions and factual information
