About the role:
Gunnedah District Hospital is seeking motivated Registered Nurses to provide compassionate person centred care within the General Medical and Emergency Department on a casual basis, ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. The successful applicants will be supported by a Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager.

Where you'll be working:
Gunnedah District Hospital General ward is a 25 bed mixed medical ward with 2 consult beds, 2 resus bays ED and a Clinical Nurse Educator available Monday - Friday.

Gunnedah offers a vibrant culture of producers and creators with plenty of exciting things to do and see, including a number of pubs, retail hub Conadilly Street, creative street art, silo murals, sculptures and galleries. Gunnedah is widely known as 'The Koala Capital' and is also home to the leather of the iconic Kookaburra cricket ball.

About you:
You are a dedicated Registered Nurse with the ability to manage medical, surgical, paediatric, palliative and aged care patients. You are an great problem solver with effective communication and time management skills, interacting with all patients, carers, families and colleagues in a professional and personable manner. ETEK, ALS and FLECC or willingness to obtain is also desirable.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.

If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
