We are seeking an experienced, mature support worker to assist a female client living with a disability in her family home in the Sutherland Shire

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, mature support worker to assist a female client living with a disability in her family home in the Sutherland Shire. Experience with challenging behaviours associated with ABI are essential.

Duties will include providing personal care as required, transfer from chair to bed and vice versa (hoist), snack preparation and assisted feeding, support with OT assignments and general companionship each weekday.

Hours to be covered are shifts between 07.30 - 18.30 Monday to Friday.

Our minimum expectations (compulsory, non-negotiable) are:

• At least 12 months recent practical experience in a relevant, local work environment (e.g. in-home care, group home, hospital, etc)
• Experience dealing with challenging behaviours
• Current work rights in Australia
• Own reliable transport (the residence is hard to access by public transport)
• Recent employment or study related references
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Certificate III (Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Disability) or nursing qualifications
• Current First Aid and Manual Handling Certificate
