Our client is providing exceptional care for the elderly delivering quality of life to them. We are currently seeking an experienced General Practitioner who can work to provide services to 5-10 residents at minimum. This can be done over one or two days depending on your availability.

To be successful in this role must have:

• Experience in Aged Care service provision, ideally in a residential aged care setting
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a General Practitioner
• Knowledge of key medical issues affecting older persons and best practice skills to manage residents
• Ability to work in an integrated team
• Professional and timely communication skills
• Willingness to visit residents at the Home in Blacktown on a weekly basis
• Ability to provide services to 5-10 residents at minimum

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Delivering quality person centred care
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating each client’s individual person - centred care needs
• Ensuring provision of general practice services to patients attending home visits where necessary
• Maintaining professional skills and knowledge via appropriate staff and professional development
• Providing information and support to patients and their family members that will assist them to take responsibility for their own health and focuses on the rights of the family and individuals
• Participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of ongoing quality assurance activities
