At Regis, we know how important nutritious and wholesome food is to the dining experience as well as catering to residents dietary needs. As such, we have a dedicated National Catering Team to research, plan and organise our food and menus for all our aged care homes. Each of our homes has a qualified chef or cook.

We are now seeking an experienced Chef to create fresh, quality meals for our residents at Regis Rosebud.

Regis Rosebud is a 129 bed aged care home providing our residents a range of contemporary rooms, plethora of leisure and lifestyle activities like an outdoor garden chess set, leafy garden courtyards and shady verandas to relax in, all within minutes from the local shopping precinct.

About The Role

This full-time role is 100% hands on in all aspects of running the kitchen. As the Chef Manager, you will have the responsibility of overseeing traditional compliance activities including food safety, OHS, and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation
  • Strong front of house presence including communication with residents and families
  • Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
  • Production and delivery of high quality meals
  • Kitchen and food cost management
  • Resident dietary management
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Leading and motivating the kitchen team
  • Full oversight of kitchen compliance including food safety, WHS and quality


Skills & Experience
  • Willingness to work as part of a broader catering team to continually improve the catering experience in our facilities
  • Time management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within set budgets
  • Experience within Aged Care would be advantageous
  • Chef Qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs
  • Staff management experience


Mandatory Requirements For All Candidates
  • Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered (VIC & QLD currently exempt)*
  • Subject to change, as per the relevant State and Territory Public Health Orders.
