Salary: $59,763.25 – $61,730.90

Position Summary
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Support Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. Some of the key responsibilities for this role are:
- Assist managers with tasks relating to recruitment, audits, admission and discharges.
- Data entry where required into relevant IT system (for e.g. Kronos, Corepas, web delacy. Riskman, etc.)
- Regularly update rosters and pay system (in appropriate electronic systems) in line with any approved changes
- Assist the Managers in producing reports on finance and quality parameters/indicators
- Assist Managers in the administrative task of Auditing and meeting minute taking where required
- Support Xavier 10 South staff with administration duties, which will support them in delivering their patient care .
The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only

Selection Criteria
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.
- Highly developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience in working in a health care setting, including knowledge of patient administration systems and the ability to be compassionate and demonstrated sensitive approach if/when dealing with patients and carers, including a commitment to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (both face to face and by phone) with awareness of cross-cultural issues and ability to interact and engage appropriately including with those from marginalized backgrounds
