Position Title: Senior Physiotherapist - Haematology/Oncology and Palliative Care
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (0.5 FTE Inpatients/0.5 FTE Community)
Hours per week: 38
Position Grade: Level 3/Year 1 or 2
Salary: $100,451 - $103,814
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2009

Position Summary

St Vincent's Hospital is seeking an experienced clinician to be our Haematology/Oncology and Palliative Care Senior Physiotherapist. The position covers across our inpatient Haematology and Oncology Wards, including Bone Marrow Transplant as well as providing community Palliative Care as part of our Palliative Care physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic Cancer clinician with a desire to work in one of Australia's leading Cancer Units. He/she will be a vital part of the ward and Palliative Care teams, providing physiotherapy management to these patient areas. He/she will also be an essential part of the Physiotherapy Department and will be part of the department's education, clinical supervision and clinical governance processes.

Selection Criteria
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy and current Australian Physiotherapy Registration
  • Experienced clinician possessing specialist knowledge and extensive experience in the areas of Haematology/Oncology Physiotherapy and/or Community Palliative Care
  • Experience in clinical management, particularly in regards to the provision of services to client groups and in circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills. This includes the ability to apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks specific to Stroke Physiotherapy.
  • Experience in the provision of clinical supervision to physiotherapists
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and implement physiotherapy services
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of Quality Improvement
