Prosthetics Coordinator

About the role

The Prosthetics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all required loan kits have been booked and have arrived the day prior to surgery, responsibilities include the receipt, tracking, preparation and despatch of all loan kits and prosthetics used within the Operating Room Suite to ensure that all loan kits and prosthetics (irrespective of the origin and purpose) are tracked, all components accounted for and returned complete to the respective company.

The Prosthetics Coordinator will also be responsible for the overall management of prosthetics at Calvary North Adelaide including; receipt, tracking and dispatch. This role will also be accountable for inventory control; stock take and follow up/investigate any discrepancies with suppliers.

Assist with CSSD shift rotation where required.

What you bring

  • Completion of a Certificate III or above in Sterilisation Services

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of people

  • Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture within a health care environment

  •  Ability to work autonomously and as part of a Highly motivated team,

  • proactive and ability to use initiative

  •  Demonstrated basic computer skills such as the Microsoft suite of packages

  • Has worked in a CSSD/ Operating Room environment with CSSD qualifications experience with loan sets and prosthetics

  • Working knowledge of surgical procedures and prosthetics required for such procedure
