An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Health Safety & Environment Advisor who is seeking a long career with one of Australia’s leading builders. We are extremely busy on many prestigious projects in NSW and the need for a top-class individual is immediate.
The HSE Advisor is responsible for ensuring the company’s HSE Plan is implemented on all projects in accordance with the Corporate HSE Plan, including:
- Mentor and educate staff, workers and contractors on HSE matters;
- Assist in the company’s internal and external audit requirements;
- Facilitate the closure of CAR’s identify during external audits;
- Assist the project teams in the implementation of the company’s policies, HSE Plan and procedures at the project level.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide advice to project teams and feedback to senior management in all matters relating to HSE
- Support the project teams with site reporting and compliance obligations
- Review and monitor key project performance indicators for HSE
- Assist with the company’s internal audit program in relation to HSE including reviewing audit reports and the closure of corrective actions;
- As required, participate in the company’s external audit program in relation to HSE including communication of audit reports and assisting the project teams to close out corrective actions;
- Maintain a close working relationship with the regional HSE Advisors
- Represent Built in the highest regard and lead by example;
- Maintain a proactive safety culture
To succeed in this role, it is important that you have gained:
- Minimum three (3) years’ work experience in a HSE role within the Building and Construction or related industry
- Certificate IV OHS Management
- Understanding of incident investigation – ICAM preferred
- Exposure to the HSE accreditation process
- OFSC experience
- AS/NZS4801 experience
