About the role

We are seeking an experienced hospitality all-rounder to join our team at Churches of Christ Little Mountain Campus. In this exciting position at our popular One Table Café, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the café.

Welcoming your past experience and creative ideas, you will actively contribute to the daily operation of our boutique Café and multi-faceted catering hub based in the heart of our Little Mountain Campus. As our new Café Manager you will ensure the hospitality team performs at a consistently high level with particular focus on creating an exceptional customer experience for all people who visit our Cafe.

Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Staff oversight; including leading a varied team
  • Implementation of systems, policies and procedures;
  • Menu, food quality control and food preparation
  • Social media engagement.
  • Involvement in whole campus activities such as events held within the campus

About you

With prior experience in managing a busy café, you will have a passion for providing exceptional service and presenting high quality food and beverages.

Your attention to detail and welcoming attitude will ensure customer experiences at One Table Café are memorable. You will be a coffee superstar with the ability to train and supervise your team by effectively articulating the Churches of Christ vision and creating accountability and ownership of each team member.

Ideally you will have:

  • Food Safety Supervisor certification will be highly regarded;
  • Certified Barista Course or equivalent experience;
  • Solid supervisory experience in a café or restaurant;
  • Experience utilising a point of sale system;
  • A Certificate II in Hospitality is desirable, not essential;
  • Practical knowledge of legislation relevant to hospitality services;
  • Commitment to food safety guidelines and regulations
