About the role

Your duties will include performing basic housekeeping duties, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing companionship.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care assistance in the form of showering, toileting and overall personal hygiene maintenance
  • Assist with meal-time preparations as per the request of our clients
  • Assist with domestic assistance by ensuring the home environment of our clients is neat and tidy at all times
  • Provide a person-centred approach and utilise your creative thinking skills when developing ideas of how to improve the overall lifestyle and quality of life of our clients

About you

You will:

  • Have a valid driver’s licence and own a vehicle
  • Have or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Working with Children’s Check and National Police Check
  • Have a Cert III in Disability, Aged Care or other equivalent or be willing to obtain
  • Have excellent communication skills, be able to think on your feet and a compassionate personality
  • Ability to speak Fiji Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin or Cantonese
  • Ability to cook various ethic cuisines (advantageous)
