About the role Right now we’re looking for warm and friendly volunteers to support residents living in our Memory Support Unit. We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of dementia and the challenges faced by older people who live with dementia.

The volunteer would have time available in the evenings (6pm-8pm) to spend with the residents providing one on one support or small group activities with the aim of forming a connection and build a mutually rewarding relationship. This volunteer position would best suit those with clear communication skills and high levels of patience and empathy for those living with dementia. All volunteers require a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care and evidence of the annual influenza vaccination.
