Experienced Cleaner & General Housework Worker (Casual)

You First is a NDIS Registered Provider delivering quality services to Clients with disability. We are seeking an experienced and qualified cleaner and general housework worker with at least 3 years' experience to join our new You First Home & Garden Team.

You will clean and undertake a range of general household tasks around the home of our Home & Garden Clients, as well as being willing to share your experience and knowledge with our Clients who are keen to understand and learn more. As this is a new team, more hours may become available as the team grows.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited:

• cleaning, tidying, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry and other general household around the home
• collecting up dirty clothes for washing, washing clothes, drying clothes (hanging clothes up outside), ironing, folding, and putting clothes away
• tidying kitchen and cooking areas, mopping floors, wiping down cupboards and worksurfaces, washing dishes, loading, and unloading dishwasher, cleaning hobs, ovens, and pans, clearing out the fridge, cupboards, and pantry, assisting with compiling shopping lists, some simple food preparation and meal planning assistance may be requested by some Clients
• ensuring baths, showers, sinks and toilets are hygienically clean, mopping floors, cleaning mirrors, putting out clean towels, stocking up toilet rolls
• general tidying, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows (internal), wiping down doors, paintwork, and walls (when required), changing beds, emptying bins and putting rubbish bins out
• documenting work undertaken and scheduling future tasks, taking time each shift to discuss and agree with the Clients what needs doing and why, as well as providing the Clients (when asked) with advice on cleaning and general housework related issues and at the end of the shift discussing the work done and why

Experience, Skills, Qualifications and Licences

• Basic Food Preparation Certificate
• Driving Licence
• First Aid HIL003 & CPR
• Police Check
• Working With Children - Employer
• Minimum 3 Years’ Residential Cleaning & General Housework Experience
• Good Customer Service Skills & A Friendly Positive Attitude
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Compliance
• Ability to Work Autonomously & As Part of A Team
• Able to Follow Policies & Procedures
• Good Attention to Detail
• Able to Document Work Undertaken & Schedule Future Tasks

The successful candidate will also be sent a DWES List form for completion before commencing employment.

Salary: $31.60 per hour
