An opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team on a full time permanent basis.

As the Assistant Accountant you will Safeguard Allity’s control environment as it pertains to the integrity of the bank reconciliation process. The Assistant Accountant will provide financial reporting and insights in relation to Allity Services Overhead costs and will provide daily cash flow reporting.

  • Effective control environment
  • Bank transactions processed promptly and accurately
  • Overhead cost reporting prepared and delivered on a timely basis
  • Business Partnering

To be successful:

  • Bank reconciliation completed on a daily basis. Liaise with AR and AP teams to ensure all bank transactions are processed on a daily basis
  • Preparation of Corporate balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Key issues of concern are escalated for discussion with the Senior Finance Manager
  • Preparation of accrual tools for Linen and Cleaning on a monthly basis
  • Monthly processing of credit card journals in an accurate and timely manner
  • Review Homes Administration and IT, Telco & Printing costs and post reclassification journals as required
  • Complete month end process within the agreed timetable
  • Provide commentary on key variances
  • Regular review of overhead P&L accounts to ensure costs are classified to the correct general ledger codes

You must have:

  • 2+ years experience
  • Relevant degree qualification with a major in Accounting
  • Studying towards a CA or CPA qualification
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong Business Partnering skills
  • Good verbal and written communication
