New permanent role for an experienced Occupational Therapist/Senior Occupational Therapist to join this regional health service. The location is based two hours from Canberra and four hours from Sydney.

You will lead the Occupational Therapy team of 3 Occupational Therapists and 2 Allied Health Assistants. Providing publicly funded occupational therapy services in a hospital setting to inpatients, outpatients and community and transitional aged care patients. Enjoy working across a varied caseload, building specialist clinical skills, leading the team to meet organisational targets and patients health needs and being a senior member of a large Allied health team (over 20 staff).

In this role, you will:

  • Provide care to subacute inpatients (rehabilitation geriatric/palliative care), community outpatients, outpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics (community and school based) and hands clinic.
  • Provide clinical leadership to the OT team and AHA's.
  • Collaborate with large Allied Health team
  • Supervise OT (3 OTs on the team) and AHA staff; supervise students; monitor team performance
  • Lead OT quality projects
  • As Senior clinician, there is scope to specialist in areas of special interest including hands/ home modifications/paediatrics/lymphoedema.

The role is open to Senior Occupational Therapists or experienced Occupational Therapists who are looking to take a step up into leadership.
