To support the ongoing delivery of high-quality clinical service we are looking to employ an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide specialist, patient centred care and contribute to the ongoing development of our inter-professional, team focused models of care at Monash Medical Centre and Moorabbin Hospitals.


About the Role


The Occupational Therapy service at Monash Health currently has a permanent G1 rotational position available within our acute team that services Monash Medical Centre and Moorabbin Hospitals. Our G1 rotational program also offers rotations within subacute caseloads and community rehabilitation. We are seeking a dedicated, passionate and dynamic Occupational Therapists to join our team. The role may be required to work across sites.


A permanent G1 role primarily based at Monash Medical Centre and may include providing occupational therapy services across neuroscience and medical streams at Monash Medical Centre (MMC), Moorabbin Hospital, as well as in assisting with service provision to Jessie McPherson Private Hospital (located on-site at MMC). Rotations also include Subacute Care at Kingston Centre, and community-based services at Dandenong/Springvale Community Rehab Centre. You will be well supported in your development of both clinical and non-clinical skills. You can look forward to working with highly experienced and enthusiastic senior staff, dedicated to the development of your knowledge and skills.


In the Grade 1 rotational Occupational Therapy role you will be an integral part of the collaborative MDT that delivers excellence in patient care, outcomes and experience. You will work within a fantastic team of professionals who are inclusive, passionate and share a vision to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families. This positions requires highly developed communication and teamwork skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to an evidence-based service delivery for OT services.

You have:



  • Some experience in providing a clinical service to patients in an acute setting;

  • A passion for ongoing learning and personal professional development;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry and service improvement.

  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association and current AHPRA registration for registered professions is a mandatory requirement for this role.
