About the role

Calvary North Adelaide Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Day Procedure Suite – Procedure room Registered Nurse.

The Clinical Nurse is:

· Accountable for the delivery of direct patient care

· Provides support and direction to Registered, Enrolled, Graduate and student nurses, AIN’s and HSA’s

· Assists in professional development of staff

· Maintains an education and development focus

· Supports a positive professional culture

· Manages of an agreed portfolio

· Expected to act in a relieving role for Clinical Manager or clinical specialty

The successful applicant will need to work within the team and at times autonomously, reporting to the Clinical Manager. Our team offers a supportive and dynamic work environment which supports cross-skilling and flexible work options. The Clinical nurse will be required to ensure optimal utilisation of resources and factors relating to quality, efficacy and cost effectiveness in planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.

What you bring

  • To be a Registered Nurse with current APHRA certification
  • 3 years procedure room nursing experience
  • Commitment to developing and improving the areas through technological, resource and quality management
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills relating to internal and external stakeholders, as well as building trust-based, collaborative relationships;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices pertaining to position;
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management
  • Physical assessment skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Current ALS and Paediatric PLS
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
