Your new team



  • Our team on John Cade enjoy a collaborative working environment that provides specialised mental health care to consumers in a dynamic environment that strives to, at all times, maintain a focus on recovery and patient centred care.

  • Our unit has a strong commitment to innovative practice around trauma informed care and reduction in restrictive interventions.


Your success in this role, will be in your ability to



  • Provide practical assistance and support for consumers and their families

  • Support consumers to maintain ongoing & income security, such as applying for benefits.

  • Support consumers and family members to make arrangements relating to regular banking tasks, utility bills, rent, and other financial commitments

  • Escorting consumers to appointments with other agencies and potential new accommodation arrangements


Your Contribution



  • Experienced social work assistant/psychiatric services officer looking for a new challenge

  • Patient Support Staff looking to develop skills and be part of innovative practises in acute mental health setting

  • Support staff who are passionate about contributing to teams to achieve positive outcomes for consumers
