About the role

The learning and development coordinator will support the growing surgical activity in the Calvary Adelaide Hospital, bringing current acute experience in surgical nursing, to develop confidence and competence in the provision of excellent and evidence based care. The incumbent will also have responsibility to support designated non-clinical areas across the hospital and will work collaboratively with the statewide members of the Learning and Development team in activities relating to building a high performing workforce. This role will be pivotal to the development of professional pathways for surgical nurses (across services) and act as a resrouce for the wider team.

What you bring

  • Registered with AHPRA
  • Recent acute nursing surgical experience (minimum 4 years post graduate)
  • Post graduate qualifications relevant to the role (education and/or nursing)

  • Experience in leading education and developing workforce confidence and competence

  • Broad understanding/knowledge of various surgical skill sets

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead teams in change

  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
