JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Provide a friendly and supportive response to all telephone callers and clients including retaining distressed clients on the telephone until a worker is available.

  • Ensure appropriate standard of presentation and maintenance of reception area.

  • Ensure all administrative systems function efficiently and effectively including registrations through to closure, appointment diaries and room booking.


ABOUT SECASA


The Southern Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA), a program of Monash Health, has the responsibility in the Southern Region of the Department of Human Services for:



  • The provision and development of effective services to victim/survivors and associated people affected by sexual assault and family violence

  • The provision and development of effective services for adolescents exhibiting sexually abusive behaviours

  • The provision of public education and professional training on sexual assault and anti-violence issues

  • Social planning and processes related to reducing societal violence

About the Role


To be part of the efficient running of the service’s Administration Department in order to ensure that SECASA clients receive the best possible service.


About You



  • Actively listens to clients to understand their requirements with appreciation of individual differences.

  • Willingly shifts focus when priorities or circumstances change.

  • Intermediate keyboard/typing/data entry skills

  • Intermediate understanding of computer operations specifically suited to word processing systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.

  • Ability to maintain a professional disposition on the telephone and with clients in person, especially when dealing with those who are distressed.
