Position Title: Clinical Nurse Educator

Employment Type: Maximum Part Time up to January 2022

Hours per week: 16 hours per week

Position Grade: Registered Nurse

Salary: $97,871.34 to $101,049.02 (pro rata) base salary per annum

Enterprise Agreement Named NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Nurses Agreement 2017

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

As a Clinical Nurse Educator you will work to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and other clinical staff in the clinical environment of St Vincents Hospital Sydney as required.

The CNE will work up 16 hours a week (Monday Friday) in a motivated multidisciplinary team environment, show leadership and embrace change. We will provide extensive training and ongoing support through access to the Nursing Education team, Clinical Nurse Consultant Wound Care and we have many Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (Wounds, COPD, Diabetes, Cardiac and Clinical Coordinators).

The CNE will also assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians or students, whilst maintaining their own professional development and contributing to quality improvement projects.

Selection Criteria

Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries

Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

Relevant clinical or education post-graduate qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to their qualifications, or four years post-registration experience including three years experience in the relevant specialist field

Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including elearning

*

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills

*

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
