UPA is seeking a Care Manager with great people skills and a caring attitude, who is an emerging leader or has leadership experience.

UPA is seeking a Care Manager for Myoora Homestead with great people skills and a caring attitude, who is an emerging leader or has leadership experience. Myoora Homestead is a small residential aged care facility in Henty (20 beds) offering a home-like, caring and personal approach.

As the Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations at Myoora Homestead and leading the team of staff.

In your new role you will:

  • Support, lead and mentor staff, promoting a positive team culture.
  • Ensure the provision of best practice clinical care to all residents to meet aged care standards, that supports the development and maintenance of all aspects of the wellbeing of residents.
  • Ensure all assessments, documentation, care plans and reviews are carried out in a professional, efficient and timely manner to ensure the objectives of best practice clinical care, accreditation and funding requirements.
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the facility, including budgeting and reporting on a range of matters to the regional manager.

You will have:

  • As a minimum, experience as an emerging leader and demonstrated the ability to support staff to achieve great outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with an understanding of sound financial management practices.
  • A degree qualification in nursing or allied health would be highly regarded but not essential.
