The opportunity

EY supports the Australian Government on some of the most important economic and social reforms globally. We are delivering a significant international development project in South East Asia and need people willing to travel internationally (when appropriate). We continue to play key roles in supporting government to navigate the health and economic impacts of COVID19 and have been at the heart of nation shaping reforms such as the NDIS, aged care, road pricing and trade reform.

Key responsibilities

Complex Engagements – Challenge yourself

  • You will work on some of the most complex problems facing governments today
  • building resilient regions and cities: transport and infrastructure
  • working on supply chain resilience for our manufacturing, pharmaceutical and mining sectors as a result of COVID
  • health and aged care service system: design and implementation
  • international development: strategic policy, investment frameworks, commercial advice on some of the largest infrastructure programs in Asia Pac
  • energy policy: sustainable power and green generation
  • information management: strategic IT advice and implementation
  • agriculture: water policy and sustainable farming
  • defence: strategic business advice, complex procurement and project management
  • immigration and border protection; assurance, review and assessment
  • social service reform: affordable housing, disability reform, child protection
  • agency transformation: target operating models, BPO and financial sustainability

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A willingness to be challenged and the desire to challenge yourself
  • You find an ever-changing work environment inspiring, who can think innovatively and strategically but enjoy working on the detail to get the job done
  • Experience gained either in the public or private sector, where you have worked through complex problems (if you don’t have this experience but have a domain discipline – still apply)
  • Good problem solving, communication and numeracy skills are essential
  • An appreciation of Government activities would be desirable, but not essential
