Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement (VF6 > VF9 dependent on experience)

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic and supportive Occupational Therapy team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group.

Our team is comprised of 10 Occupational Therapists and 6 Allied Health Assistants located in a purpose built Allied Health Building / Community Rehabilitation Centre.

The Occupational Therapy Department provides services to a number of areas including acute inpatient units, SSU and Emergency Department, Subacute – GEM & TCP, Community Rehabilitation, Aged Care and outpatients.

Our department encourages and supports professional development and supervision and support are available to the successful applicants.

As these are Grade 2 positions, candidates will be expected to demonstrate high levels of clinical skills and experience, and will also be responsible for the provision of supervision to Allied Health Assistants and students and Grade 1 Occupational Therapists.

Our preferred candidates will possess:

  • Degree / Masters in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Membership of the Australian Occupational Therapy Association or equivalent.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • A high level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in a wide area of Occupational Therapy practice.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks and a National Police History check. This position also requires a valid Working with Children Check. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
