Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will provide pivotal coordination of patient care delivery at the Eudunda Hospital. The main focus of your role will be the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes. You will undertake resource management activities in the local area, encompassing recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring. You will accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery practices in the specific practice setting, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy, and developing team performance and a positive work culture in the interest of patient outcomes. Eudunda Hospital provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to outpatients and aged care beds. Along with a 24-hour accident and emergency service, we provide general medical care including inpatient, outpatient and same day stays. Eudunda Hospital offers residential care facilities at the adjoining Eudunda Senior Citizen's Hostel.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant immunisation screening.
