Workplace Location

Regis Nedlands is a purpose-built ageing-in-place contemporary facility located in the heart of Nedlands, next to Hollywood Private Hospital, close to public transport and Kings Park. Regis Nedlands forms part of the Regis Hollywood Village complex.

There are 141 single rooms (including dementia- specific, palliative and respite), each with en suite, and all with a view of a courtyard or landscaped garden. The stunning rooftop lounge and cafe offer views of the river and city.

About The Role

We developed this new exciting Dementia Liaison role as an extension of the current Club Services offering. The primary focus of this role is to improve the support we provide residents, families and resident representatives on their journeys with Dementia.

This role is suitable for someone who has previous experience in working with residents who have dementia in an Aged Care setting and holds either a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support or a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Leisure & Health.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide quality support to residents with their activities of daily living
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate team spirit
  • The Dementia Liaison will be the ‘go-to’ for families and resident representatives within the wing and can assist families with external support services as required
  • To support Admissions within the Dementia wing
  • Oversee the Family Education and Events Program

Skills & Experience
  • Qualified with a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate III in Leisure & Health (minimum requirement)
  • Previous experience working in a dementia wing (essential)
  • Passion for Dementia Care
  • Demonstrated ability to work to required resident outcomes
