Residential Service Manager

The Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up in our aged care client for an experienced Residential Service Manager to manage the operations of its 55-bed residential service. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the functional responsibilities of this role include care governance, financial management, human resource management, sales and marketing, environmental services and general administration.

What you would do

Your overall objective is to lead your team in a way that delivers an outstanding resident experience and strong financial sustainability whilst remaining fully compliant with regulatory requirements and delivering on company policies and procedures.

The main things you would do include:

* Sustaining consistently strong results in non-financial measures, including resident satisfaction, staff satisfaction, reputation and accreditation.

* Ensuring that the residential service is managed in accordance with its policies and procedures, in full compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, regulatory requirements (including but not limited to the Aged Care Act 1997) and applicable professional practice guidelines.

* Delivering strong financial sustainability, meaning operating profit in relation to the capital employed in the business.

How can I tell if this is for me?

You will have:

* At least five (5) years of experience in a management role in the aged care setting.

* At least two (2) years of experience in residential service management role.

* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as a registered nurse is essential.

* Candidates who meet the requirements for registration and have formerly been registered as a registered nurse will be considered provided they have substantial operational experience in an equivalent role and demonstrated positive performance.

* Tertiary qualification in business, finance or management are highly desirable but not essential.

* Vocational experience in a similar role will be considered to equate to a tertiary qualification where strong performance in a similar role can be demonstrated.

* Currently hold and maintain a Police Certificate

Salary: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
