About the role
The Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of administrative support to Cardiology services at Calvary Mater Newcastle. This includes book keeping maintenance of financial records, typing of medical reports and administrative support when required by the Nurse Manager.
What you bring
- Experience and knowledge of Billing, Accounts Receivable and banking processes with ability to accurately calculate figures.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and utilise various software applications.
- Proven ability to work independently, and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and prioritise workload in an organised manner.

Calvary Mater Newcastle public hospital in Waratah, NSW, is an Affiliated Health Organisation of NSW Health. It is the major cancer care centre for the Hunter New England Local Health District, delivering more than 320,000 occasions of outpatient services and in an excess of 16,000 inpatient treatments per year.
Calvary Mater Newcastle provides an Emergency Department open 24 hours seven days a week an Intensive Care Unit, and extensive Palliative Care services including the Mercy Hospice. Hunter New England Local Health District’s Mental Health Facility and Breastscreen NSW are also located on the Mater campus.
