JOIN OUR TEAM OF CARING PROFESSIONALS

Area: North Sydney Days and Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9am to 3pm

Carers & Companions is a boutique agency where we provide in-home personal care for Clients so they can live independently with a little help from us.

Our Client suffers from depression. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Carer to provide 6 hours of; care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping and transport to medical appointments. The Carer needs to have a current driver’s licence with a clean car, be reliable and commit to shifts on an ongoing basis.

Carer’s Duties:

• Care, assistance and support to help them achieve their daily tasks
• Encouraging walks and exercises
• Help cook nutritious meals
• Light household duties; keeping the kitchen tidy after eating
• Provide social interaction and companionship
• Engage them in games and activities
• Transport them to medical appointments

Carer’s requirements:

• Minimum two years’ experience in Aged Care
• Cert III in Aged Care OR Cert III in Individual Support OR similar
• Mental Health / Depression (Module) Training OR equivalent
• A current Police Background check (less than 6 months old) or willing to obtain one for $64
• Current First Aid including CPR Certificate
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Australian residents only
