Senior Business Support Officer - Accounts Payable

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity based in our beautiful, environmentally-friendly Churches of Christ Kenmore Campus and Community Building with on-site café. In this pivotal role reporting to the Finance Shared Services Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the accounts payable function. Your day-to-day duties will include verification and processing of invoices using 'Exflow', the automated invoice processing workflow module of D365, preparing the weekly vendor payment run, monthly vendor statement reconciliation and attending to accounts payable queries. You will enjoy managing the full function of accounts payables, in addition to utilising scanning and workflow software through to payment. 

This role will require you to work collaboratively with a small team to meet business needs within required timeframes and strict deadlines. 

Indicative Total Remuneration: $63,800 (plus significant salary sacrificing benefits + superannuation).

About you 

You will have the demonstrated ability to work under limited direction with minimal supervision to achieve desired outcomes. You are able to use your ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritising work, managing your time effectively and efficiently to meet set deadlines. You will resonate with, and live by our values, and have a passion for the work that we do. Your enthusiasm, relationship building skills and personable nature will also be highly regarded. You pride yourself on accuracy, attention to detail and providing exceptional customer service. 

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of full function accounts payable experience;
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles;
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Experience with D365 or other automated invoice processing systems highly desirable;
  • Ability to build good relationships with vendors;
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel, and accounting packages.
