In the Italian tradition of community, mutual help, Christian faith and family, Scalabrini offers the provision of excellent care to the frail aged and people living with dementia delivered with a profound sense of justice and a respect for all cultures. Scalabrini has six aged care villages across NSW, five within the Sydney Metro area and the sixth located in regional NSW.

We are looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator to lead a dynamic team that will be central to the creation of a vibrant Village community at The Village by Scalabrini in Drummoyne. The Wellbeing Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities and events that promote wellbeing, affirm the individuality of all residents, and enhance connection between residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the broader community. You will celebrate and share cultural diversity, and embrace innovation to enhance the quality and efficacy of wellbeing programs.


This position is a full time opportunity.

Required:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, Diversional Therapy, or equivalent
  • Unit of competency HLTAID003 (Apply First Aid)
  • Previous experience in planning and coordinating innovative wellbeing/lifestyle programs and working with volunteers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy

Desirable:

  • Ability to speak Italian or other languages
