We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our professional Allied Health team.This casual position is available from February 2021 on an ongoing basis and involves providing assistance to the Allied Health team at WHCG. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing basic and standard interventions which have been assessed by a Physiotherapist, as well as assisting with clients who require two therapists. There is the potential for the role to involve working in the Sub-acute ward, and also with clients experiencing lymphoedema.
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including an ability to plan, set and prioritise workloads with tight deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve desired client outcomes
- Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Experience in the aged care, rehabilitation, or care-provision setting
